John Mitchell - more commonly known as Mitch Mitchell - was a British musician, born on July 9th, 1947 in Ealing, Middlesex, England. He was the drummer, percussionist and occassional backing vocalist of short-lived band The Jimi Hendrix Experience and went on to play in Hendrix's Gypsy Sun and Rainbows band, The Dirty Macs and Ramatam, before his semi-retirement in the 21st Century.
